Ranger, we usually have the opposite to worry about I gurantee it will stop. If we have the slighest leak it will shut itself off.
You do realize also that you will need a full pipe of water on downslope pipe to get the siphon started? Fairly easy to accomplish with 8"plug and small pump to fill it thru the valve you installed.
