I have been taking both of my kids in my boat since they were infants. they are 7 and 10 now and love going fishing in the boat, much more than any of my ponds. They know more about boating safety and have more respect for the dangers of boating than most adults.

I'll start treating my wife as good as my dog when she starts retrieving ducks.
