No, CNBG do not have any greenie genetics. I assure you what I said is true.
My theory:
Some greenies got mixed up in the original CNBG and RES stocking and somehow (?) crossed one or both of those. I'll try to get a picture, but it is identical to AaronhomeIN's fish, identical.
I first saw them about two years after the intial stocking and have noticed a steady decline ever since in their numbers. Not many of them left now and I rarely catch one, but I swear it is identical to the fish pictured.
