Has anyone used Pond King out of Gainesville, Tx for fish stocking purposes?

Brad came out to my property and did my electroshock survey and water testing before I actually purchased the land. I plan to purchase forage fish from him this fall. His prices are very competitive, and he seems like a straight shooter. He has never pressured me in any way, and has been patient as I continually change my overall plan (from trophy bass, to more/smaller bass for the kids).

Don't feel alone in that regard. Every stocking plan I've ever had has changed many times. Heck, I've changed my plan for a Kid's pond at least 6 times in the last two months and still haven't stocked the first fish. I agree with Mike Otto who said that the planning is really the fun part.

Thanks ML. When I first purchased the property, I had visions of double-digit LMB floating through my head. After taking my three daughters (ages 9,7,5) out to the lake a few times, and seeing how much fun they had pulling in small bass after small bass, I decided to concentrate more on quantity (both LMB and CBG), with the occasional 5+lb. LMB to make things interesting. My goal now is to make it a load of fun for the girls and their friends when we go to "the farm." I figure I'll have plenty of time to groom my trophy bass when the girls start thinking more about boys and a little less about bass -- I don't want that day to come, but I know it will...

Yes it will, but then that phase is followed by grandchildren...and guess what, you will be thinking about a great kid's pond, just like I am right now for my grandkids...that trophy bass pond just does not seem important in comparison, in my view.

Just wanted to let you know that Brad came out to my pond yesterday and stocked 3000 CBG, plus some golden shiners and fathead minnows (we had almost no forage fish at all). The CBG were beautiful fish, mostly in the 6" range. He and his assistant took their time, and Brad patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions. He also offered pros & cons to some of my suggestions. Best of all, his prices were VERY competitive. I've enjoyed working with him -- no pressure tactics at all. Hope this helps...

We had Pond King do our shock survey in the year 2000. I met Brad a tackle show and he gave me a deal on the survey that I could not refuse.

Bob is a straight shooter and will not try and sell you something that you do not need.

Both Brad and Bob are good choices.
