Sounds like I just need to be patient.
As for my water temp. The pond has steep banks 3/4 of the way around and is constantly filled with cool water from rain and run-off. In Lexington we get rain almost every other day and the evenings always cool to below 70 even in the middle of summer. Both help the water temp.
