Definitely, we have had a long, smooth weather Spring & Summer in TN... First half spawns improved over past few years...Glad LMB FOMO has occurred using the hydrated milk duds.

I have been throwing the Endurance Nuggets for about a month now. I see them being taken but never quite sure of the species. I know the turtles are fond of them, 9-10" BG eat them, the gator will when he gets a chance, & the tilapia love to slurp them down. On occasion I have seen & been able to identify all of the above.

It is the LMB that I am not sure are taking the nuggets. Now & then there is a violent splash as the nugget disappears from view. This does not happen very often. There is also it just suddenly disappears, no splash barely a ripple. I assume it is a LMB but I am not sure. The turtles & gator I can always see. The BG grab the nugget & gently take it under. The tilapia come to the surface & gentle slurp it into their mouth.

Can someone tell me what they see when a LMB takes an Endurance Nugget. Also the variations happening with different size LMB.

My observations, gained by our clear water. Even now the lake visibility is 60". In order of aggressiveness, Green Sunfish, CNBG, Channel Cat, LMB. CC are very interested in the large pellet but usually get beat to the target. Once a LMB gets started eating pellets they compete very well.

Hydrated pellet is critical for LMB recruitment along with consistent feed times. Early morning light has worked best for me.

LMB tend to hit pellets quick, and sometimes there's a splash, other times it's like upward surge of water without a splash. However, I never see them eat the pellets slowly.

Now, most all the Channel Cats and Blue Cats that I've seen hit the larger feed don't hit it fast. Sure, some are quicker than others, but some also just vacuum at the surface.
