Boondogg The point of bringing up all female LMB was apparently your pond with lack of LMB recruits is at this point is "close " to having an all female bass pond. All females is no recruits and your description of your current LMB population is somewhat similar of having very few small bass close to that of an all female fishery. For getting those LMB over 7 lbs REMEMBER every one of those and those ones larger means measurably FEWER numbers of those as easier to catch compared to those 4 to 5 lbers in a small 1.5 ac pond. As LMB get older and bigger they become harder and harder to catch. Plus over time the oldest biggest bass will become harder and harder to catch due to their hook smart learning over the many years of experiencing presentations from anglers. Been there done all that.

I prefer catching more smaller ones (3-4-5lb) compared to the rare action of getting one of the very few trophies that are able to live and be present in just 1.5 ac. CARRYINNG CAPACITY DYNAMICS. Plus the best size classes of forage populations have to ALWAYS be present to have those sizes of sub-trophy LMB,, at the correct densities,, to constantly keep them growing optimally after the original stockers die of old age.
