Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Looking for Iphone App Beta Testers

Hey guys, been working on something for a while and figured I'd throw it out here since most of y'all actually manage your own ponds and would give me some good feedback.

I built an app called PondBase — it's for iPhone, centered around tracking Relative Weight... Started it a couple years ago because I couldn't find anything out there that actually did what I wanted for managing and tracking my own pond data, so I just started learning IOS programing and building it myself. Not a professional developer or anything, this is my first IOS app that actual does something useful for me, so don't expect it to be polished or perfect. I'm sure there are bugs I haven't found yet and features that others may not find useful or some that I didn't think of. I just want honest feedback from guys who actually do this stuff, not a finished product review.

If anyone's got an iPhone and wants to mess around with it and tell me what's broken, what's missing, or what's just not needed, I'd genuinely appreciate it. I'm not looking for a large number of testers but those that will spend a little time messing with it. You don't have to manage a pond either, if you just enjoy fishing ponds and tracking the data you're welcome as well... Someone who actually fishes more than one pond and can track multiple ponds would be great.

It's not a scam or anything, it's legit, been a Pond Boss member 17 years, didn't join to con anyone now... lol, that would be a long con.
doesn't cost anything to be a tester.

Let me ask you guys this then, if you were designing an IOS app to manage your pond what features would you guys want in it?

No animosity, no worry, but no i-phone.

My ColdFusion scripting days are way over.

Maybe type "Can you take a spreadsheet and make it an apple IOS app". Drop it in Grok and it may help some.

Sounds easy but not so much...

I've already created the app, just looking for a few more folks to run it on their phones and give me feed back... you can google PondBaseMax and see screenshots and learn a little about it.

I use an I phone, but a little technologically challenged, but I have figured out a lot of electronics.

I gotta admit, I seen the post but assumed it was spam, to be honest.

I understand, I was afraid folks might think it was some type of spam... It's not,I can send you a link to download the Beta build of the app and you can test it for yourself. if you would like to test it you can message my an email address and I'll add you to the list and you'll get an invite to download the app.

I understand about the electronics and you can reach out to me with any questions... I'll admit I have added a lot of "features" to the app so at first it might be a little confusing but that's one of the reason for the testing as well, what is intuitive and what's not will help me out a lot.
I've include a lot of How-To docs in the app, usually on each view there's a "?" at the top or in the menu that will display the help files, If you are like me reading instructions is usually the last resort but they are there when needed.
