One additional thing I forgot to mention. Still haven't seen any evidence of small LMB in the pond. It just seems amazing to me that I haven't caught a single < 12" fish since our original stockers grew past that mark. (3) bush plies, several areas of underwater rock piles, and a combination of DIY PVC trees/bushes. Yesterdays lure of choice was the deadly NED rig and the BG in the pic above was one of the takers. I'd hazard a guess that if a 8-9" BG can take a Ned Rig.....nearly any sub 12" LMB should be able to eat it as well.

I'm curious. Would there be any benefit to removing some of the 6-8" BG? Anything above 8" released. 6-8" are likely at the top or over what the current LMB population can consume. Goal for the BG is (1) provide forage for the LMB population (2) provide some eats for the pond owners as well on occasion.
