So 4corners idea will work, there is plenty of room to plant another row of trees behind. That does solve a good number of problems, although it will take several years. For whatever its worth, I've been told by just about everyone that the willow trees suck this pond dry of water, however the pond seems to decline pretty much at the same rate as all the other ponds in the area.
I do agree that a baitfish pond will definitely be beneficial for the next few years as well. I'm also hoping that there are a lot of tiny bluegill currently in this pond since most of the predators have been fished out. Hopefully with some feed I could start growing them a bit faster.
