With respect to the CNBG. George and I and a few others found differences between CNBG from original southern sources (Fla., central/south TX , deep south) and those moved to Arkansas many generations ago from Fla.. The CNBG moved to Ark were the base sources of the many hatcheries there. Over many generations adaptation has occurred. The Ark fish appeared to have adapted to cooler waters and their traits changed somewhat. Those Ark CNBG which have been stocked even further north have continued to adapt to cooler climates.
