I think both things can be true. An internet statement that "2 inch warmouth are too small to spawn" is true as the generalization of information it is meant to convey.
However, there can possibly be a 2" male that is in the 95th or 99th percentile and is trying to spawn. Who knows, his year class may be 4-inchers and he is a runt?
I certainly would award him an "A" for effort!
