At 2/3 full, you can probably start stocking some of your forage fish such as fathead minnows.

I don't know if a June stocking is still early enough to avoid stress on your CNBG? If you are contemplating stocking them soon, then you might ask that question in a new thread and some of our southern members can give you good advice.

Sorry to hear that your Bermuda didn't take. Keep working on your erosion control plants. Minimizing silt influx to a small pond is very important.

I was wondering how all the water stayed in the pond.

I had the pond builder make a couple 10' x 10' shelfs in shallow water for bluegill spawning areas. We are getting more rain and the pond is filling up, so yesterday I build a couple of frames to hold the pea gravel. I will put down landscape cloth as someone suggested and then fill those boxes with pea gravel. Not sure if it will work but seemed like a good idea.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to kill the duck weed? I've only had water for barely a few weeks and it's already taking over.

Diquat(Reward is almost everywhere and cheap) is what I use on other ponds duckweeds . Also check the banks, because it still needs to be treated there. Some ponds need 2 days of treating because of the wind moving the duckweeds.

Kill the duckweed with Propeller herbicide or Tribune or Reward herbicide. If you don't you will be battling it for years and years. Even now it will be a small battle because it already dropped seeds in the pond.

The pond is full. Duckweed has been killed off. Bottom diffusers and fountain is installed. Next week I'm putting in about 10lbs of fathead minnows and 300 or so CNBG. It's finally coming along
