I've tried to start pecans from the nuts several times now with absolutely no luck. Friend brags about just throwing a couple inches of dirt over them and they all come up.

I'm going to try pecans again this year. I would like to have some pecans in our woods. We have hickories, oaks, walnuts, and far too many maples / cotttonwoods.
