So I went out yesterday, this is after a few big rains have filled the pond almost all the way up. I was shocked to see how much clearer the water was. I did not have time to take a reading, but I would imagine I gained several inches. I'm assuming this is just from the rye grass stabilizing the soil right where the water line is. Interestingly though, when I did my jar test, I had a control jug that didn't really clear up at all or have any sediment at the bottom.
