I am in a similar position, no power and was wanting solar lights for bugs for the fish only, I don't care to light up the dock area for human activities.

I would guess those are two different color requirements, a color that doesn't attract bugs for human activities and different color to attract bugs for fish feeding.

Wish I could find a decent bug zapper that is solar powered, but I have tried a couple different ones that never killed a single gnat.

I did fix a Japanese beetle trap on a tube with a floating platform that dropped them down the middle and straight into the water with no escape routes, the bluegill loved it, you would see one spiral down the tube into the water, followed by the zap of a bluegill hitting the top of the water, inhaling it.


All the really good ideas I've ever had came to me while I was milking a cow.
