Bill, I try to never assume. One customer had a heck of a time getting underwater plants established even with SMB in the pond. He has a lot of rock piles and wood habitat in the pond and it's taken about 4 years to get some weeds established. We had to make exclusion cages from 1/2" chicken wire to allow plants to get established and start producing seeds to populate some of the rest of the pond.
