It sounds like you have plenty of forage fish and you desire to catch numbers over really large fish.
If that's the case, then go ahead and add the bass. For reference, I went with 50 largemouth per acre knowing that some wouldn't make it.
Regardless of your decision of when to add the bass, I would advise you to continue to cater to the forage. I think that's the key no matter what.
