I spoke with a customer a few days ago, and although I haven't had personal experience with beaver problems, his advise was...:

Disturb the beaver dam sometime during the day, tear some of it down so that water will rush through and make noise. That evening be ready with firepower and red spotlight. You'll see them start to rebuild. You must shoot mom and dad beaver, and the young beavers will pack their bags.

I make no claims that this method actually works, just heard it from a customer.
