Sorry to here about your grow out pond. One product I use often is a wireless fish finder. Humminbird makes one called the smart cast. Just cast out the wireless sonar link and you can read depth and see fish. This can be done from the bank. The new models do water temp also.
I still plan to do a grow out cage. Will keep posted.
