I am stunned (and very pleased) to see how interested and excited Jo is. She normally leaves the farm work to me and will ride by on her Honda occasionally and say “yeah, that looks nice”.

Step 1. for any large pond project - get your spouse on board first.
It appears you are already more of an expert than several of us in the forum!
When you have the best wife in the south, you just consider yourself lucky!!
When you have to get in the pond (today) and fix a fish structure,your loving wife can run up to the farmhouse in the Kubota and get you some dry clothes. But, during that same trip, the Kabota strikes the exit gate at the yard and does severe damage to the gate.
So I I am not sure I am the expert of anything!
