The pond is not going to get a lot of runoff water. It will get whatever lands on top of the berms and goes into the pond, but our area is very flat and very sandy and we just don’t get a lot of water that would flow into the pond from rain. It may get some water that comes out of the woods and some of my deer plots on the south end. I’ll know much more about that once the pond fills up and I look to see what everything looks like.

I have a pvc pipe with 1-6 numbers on it and your point about rain calculations is very well taken.
We have a rain gauge at the house, but I will also add one at the pond, as the pond is almost a half a mile from the house. I would have loved to have had the pond at at or near the house, but it just wasn’t possible
I am splitting wood today when I get finished, I will dive in to the previous post and see if I can glean additional information
