Hi, first time pond builder here from Florida. It took a year but I finished the build on my swim pond with a bog filter and a solar powered pump. Interesting small pond project that could have numerous uses for other members. The project was very well explained. Please periodically return every few months to update us on the progress of the pond and how well everything performs to plans. I am interested in seeing how well the bog maintains clear water for the pond. What is the ratio of gallons of water volume of the bog filter to the pond?.

That looks like a solid project for $4250! The solar setup is a smart move for Florida weather.
Just a heads up since the water looks a bit green in the thumbnail: you might want to add more floating plants like lilies or water lettuce. They'll help shade the water and starve out that algae by soaking up the extra nutrients. It makes a huge difference for clarity in a bog filter system.
