My concern is that a secondary infection may have been what actually got him and that there'd be some toxicity from bacteria byproducts. I guess we'll see. I haven't actually eaten it yet. Giving it a good soak in the fridge first.
I did decide to stock some redears, but I'm doing it the lazy/fun way by just going around catching them with hook and line and dumping them in. So far I've stocked one male and two females. Lucky guy.
