A vibritory sheepsfoot compactor used as FishinRod described above would IMO be good price paid for minimal leak insurance for building an upground pond. I believe M.Gray noted above would be an excellent person to contact for a quote for building a pond on bedrock subsoil conditions. Ask about the possible use of polymer soil sealants during construction especially the bottom basin covering bedrock. . The entire embankment perimeter may need a core trench as used in dam construction.
