re: Bluegills and feed. You must feed the same time of day, in the same place in the pond EVERY DAY or the fish won't realize it's there. Also, the feed must taste good to the fish. Endurance Feed, Purina MCP or Purina Aquamax, Triton (cargill), Skretting. The cheap stuff from TSC or the feed store wont do. If you see fish picking up a pellet and spitting it back out, then use a different feed.

Bass need cover to hang out in and ambush forage fish from. 20% of the surface area of the pond should be cover for the bass to hang out in. They won't grow if they are marathon runners swimming all the time. 20 pounds per acre per year is what should be removed for a balanced pond providing there is ample places for the bass to spawn and there is ample cover for them to hide in. If it's bass are stunted, then 30+ pounds per acre for the first year, then re-assess towards the end of the 2nd year.
