This may have been previously mentioned above, but what size/s were the LMB in the studies that were tested for optimum temperature growth? If I read this correctly #2 above was 105 grams this is a 3.7 oz LMB at about 5"-7". . IMO more food consumption and growth will occur for LMB at higher temps when the bass are younger and less than 1 lb and most probably less than 3 lbs? At above 5 - 6 lbs and maybe even 3 - 4lbs for LMB, I think the data will be different and IMO mathematically or biometrically significantly different. It probably All Depends and likely Depends a Lot on the many variables as ewest mentions in his post above. This could be why jpsdad notes that his modeling data does not sometimes agree with growth of bigger LMB in natural waters.
What we should seek to do is to understand the reason for slow growth for each particular circumstance where slow growth occurs.
