Honestly, I saw no mention of Fall Frenzy or the optimum temperature for growth being in the Fall in Tennessee in that paper.
It would be very helpful to actually state what is optimum for temperature and at what temps it falls off. That's all I was trying to get a conversation going around. I thought you might actually be able to share some factual knowledge about that.
Lake8's fish in Tylertown, MS defied your theory and were growing at 6 grams a day in July and August. Rest assured, they ain't going to be doing that in October ... even if there is plenty of forage. I ain't saying they were having a feeding frenzy in July and August, but they were eating as much as their metabolism and forage abundance allowed in the heat of Summer. So I guess it just depends? Or maybe some real science could explain why?
