All good points to consider for helping to grow the best fishery for a pond. Note that I edited my post above to include that LMB in thermally stratified water have the ability to seek cooler water during periods of food digestion and then move to warm less optimum temperatuer conditions for their feeding forays. Note the 2nd study noted above used juvenile LMB to obtain the results. More in-depth studies need to be conducted using big old fish that I think have a somewhat different biochemical physiology compared to young fast growing fish. Lots of research still needs to be done. Truth be known, fish physiology probably changes by some degree from when a fish is a youngster, a teenager, middle age and old age,
