Leave a flat area about 3 ft deep on the end near the house so people can watch spawning.

In the ridge area make a cut several feet wide and deep so fish can come and go at depth.

If you are going to use big or heavy structure, add gravel or sand do it when under construction.

Construction is the time to add ag lime if it is needed.
