I'm certainly going to make some "stake gardens" for my pond. I hired a guy to take me crappie fishing at Lake Dardanelle, AR. A very interesting, high tech sonar adventure. We caught lots of crappie, but no slabs. So towards the end he took us to a couple of his honey holes. Called Stake Gardens, just upright poles (not sure of the material). Crappie loved them. At our last stop we saw 3 fish on sonar. He caught a 1.5lb Crappie. I caught a 2lber! And he caught a 15lb flathead. Those stakes seem both simple and effective. I plan on using 2" PVC to make them. I just need to come up with a simple base to attach them to.
