Pond Boss Forums INTRO New Forum Member Introduction New from SE Kansas

Hi Everyone- a few years ago I inherited the family farm in SE Kansas which includes an 18 foot deep 2 acre pond. As a kid growing up the greatest two weeks of year was the time visiting the farm from the East Coast and fishing every day in the pond. Over the years some very large bass have been caught in the pond, but as it's surrounded on 3 sides by agriculture fields and their runoff it gets large algae and weed blooms in the summer. So, I'd like to fix that and catch my own trophy bass.

I've been lurking for a couple of years and am now I'm ready to start working on the pond and get some aeration to it, so I'll be posting there shortly with my specifics and my ideas.

Looks like a beautiful place! I'm SC Kansas and take special interest in other KS ponds. Always wanting to learn amd see what others are doing. Good luck!

watershed pond must be nice! We have an 80 acre tract the county is talking about putting a watershed on between 3 properties. I wold love that.

The watershed is amazing! I hope you have a chance to get one on your place! An 18ft deep pond is pretty nice too.
