We are having trouble raising ph in a 2 acre, watershed pond.

PH is currently 6.5

15' deep at deepest point

questions are:

Will the 6.5 PH affect fish growth?

How much lime would be needed to raise ph to a comfortable level for LM, BG, and RES?

Do know the alkalinity of the pond water?
Are you wanting to fertilize to create a plankton bloom or are you basically just planning to feed the fish pellets for their main source of growth and development?
Or do you just plan to all naturally grow fish without any supplimental form of food enhancement in water with a pH of 6.5?
What time of day are you testing the pH? Depending on the amount of phytoplankton pH of the water can change as much as 1-3 units between morning and afternoon with the lowest usually in the morning due to amount of carbon dioxide in the water.
