Jayhawk!
Wife's surgery was at the KU medical center. The surgical waiting room is right beside the nice, new pediatric waiting room ... which contains a giant Jayhawk statue as big around as your dining room table.
One 3 y.o. girl walked past and told her daddy to look at the great big Jayhawk. I said "Rock Chalk" to her in a low, deep voice, which did draw a big grin from dad (on what I think might have been a rather unhappy day). I'm happy to take any extra smiles I can find each day!
