Hey. You got lucky and did it again.

Thanks for all of the good wishes.
My "joyful" activity was spending all day at the hospital with my wife for surgery to install a plate and pins to repair her broken arm.
My oldest daughter did text, "We are NOT letting Mom plan the birthday party next year!" (I guess the apple does not fall very far from the tree.)

My oldest daughter did text, "We are NOT letting Mom plan the birthday party next year!" (I guess the apple does not fall very far from the tree.) Sorry to here that. We'll be praying for both of you.

HBD, Jayhawk or Wilidcat! Jayhawk! Wife's surgery was at the KU medical center. The surgical waiting room is right beside the nice, new pediatric waiting room ... which contains a giant Jayhawk statue as big around as your dining room table. One 3 y.o. girl walked past and told her daddy to look at the great big Jayhawk. I said "Rock Chalk" to her in a low, deep voice, which did draw a big grin from dad (on what I think might have been a rather unhappy day). I'm happy to take any extra smiles I can find each day!
