By now under normal circumstances your small stocker BG have spawned.
With ample cover/structure for the FH the BG should not wipe them out this year. Keep feeding as that will reduce any predation on all fish. Feeding is anywhere from 4 to 8 times more energetically productive than normal foraging for BG.
