Ok, i'm on way to install the aerator. Can see my other post https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=575291#Post575291 if you want to see size etc. I can only go out there about every third day. So, what initial time can i set it to and not hurt the process? 2 hrs for first set ok? then increase by 2hr or what? 1.2 acre two diffusers at either end pretty much. 5.7CFM I'll check post in 2-4 hrs when its set up. thanks in advance

I'd try (and do every Spring) to start at 1 hour and add an hour a day. If you just add an hour every third day, I can't see it hurting anything, just taking longer.
If you can visit in the middle of a day's run time, perhaps you can do like I do and add one hour to the stop time (adds one hour today) and one hour to the start time (adds one hour tomorrow).

Since I can't see how deep the pond is, and it's in the middle of summer, I'd start with 1/2 hour for the first 3 days, increase to 1 hour the next 3 days. All you have to do is run one day at too much and you can kill fish..... Be conservative. If water temp was in the low 50's I'd say start it and leave it run, but not now.

Look at the image on the post I referenced above. Thera pic with depths That's right. Yes, you should have a thermocline set up now. If you smell "rotten eggs" coming up from the bubbles in the deepest place, I'd only run it for 15 minutes each of the first 3 days, then double that time the next 3 days. etc., etc.
