Yes, forgot to mention. The deepest pond (1) is perhaps 20 feet from the cabin. Ponds 2 and 3 move in a line adjacent to each other from there.

In my (non-expert) opinion, you have all of the requirements for an awesome trout fishery on your place.
Invest in some pond improvements and an aeration system. Then your investment in trout fingerlings should be quite safe even while you are absent from the property.
(Aeration pumps do fail, and pipelines do rupture. Do you know any "pond" neighbors well yet? Paying a trusted teenager to go check on your property once/week might also be a good investment on your property when you are going to be absent for extended periods.)
