The upper pond, the deepest, is both spring and creek fed. Each pond is at a different elevation descending down hill. The way the outlets and inlets on each pond are set up, sure looks like you could maintain a current in the middle pond. Also, that pond is perfectly straight, the bottom seems to slope to a gravel channel down the middle. The whole property is like looking at Mayan ruins in south america. Just piecing together what I can see. Everywhere you look, you see evidence of structure and past uses sticking out of the Maine woods, which aggressively takes back areas of human influence.
I know for sure those 3 ponds spent over 35 years growing trout. How exactly it was sone, would be a great story to hear. I'm hoping some here will tell me!
My plan is to keep the ponds healthy and someday get back to trout ponds.
