Since you know you are going to catch and release at this point, do you file down the barb on the hook so it's easier to remove? Or as Rod suggested on a previous post just smash it with a good set of pliers. I haven't thought about that; maybe I should? It makes catch and release much easier on the fish (and you). especially if you hook one deep in the mouth and it comes out near the eye. You may also have some throw the hook easier but, IMO that's OK, I usually get a good look at them when they come out of the water.
