We are nearing the full moon.

I recorded video of a Bluegill colony spawning.

Is it possible these are Tilapia?

I noticed an orange one that has to be one of the Tilapia I added on Wednesday. I would think it's too early for them to have made beds like that. But they may be using some beds previously made by BG.

If the water temp is less than 70F, then probably not. Some members have noted MOZ TP did not spawn in colonial fashion in their pond.

The orange TB in the video didn't really look like it was displaying nesting behavior to me and possibly could have been there by chance or maybe it was looking for opportunity to consume some of the BG spawn.

It sure was nice of your fish supplier to provide you some Tilapia in "safety orange" so that they would be easy to track in your pond!

EWest, what other species besides Tilapia did you see?

I also observed LMB nesting a short distance from the BG but could not positively identify them in the video.

Were some GSF, I thought that might be one that came to the top about 5 seconds into the video?

Some are tilapia. I can't positively tell from the pic that all of them are.
