Here's a pic of the trees we put up vertically in the middle. we then went and attached some old deck boards to the trunks to give more structure around the 6' depth range. I fully anticipate those canopies to be mostly gone with in a year. For anyone else looking to do this, cut the trees down a few days in advance, if not a week to let them dry out. The tree is about twice as heavy when it's been freshly cut.
