From our Ponds west of Clinton Okla. , The two pictures without Sunglasses are of Snipes SAE, stocked last May at 6" , you can tell by pictures , my young customer is very happy with the results , drives 82 miles to fish for SAE and WAE with us. He's also looking for a YP. Thank You to Snipe , for all the help , showing SAE are very possible at I-40. The Picture with Sunglasses , same evening , a few minutes later and it was WAE's turn to smash his white crappie jig, stocked in 2021 and supplied by a Hatchery in far North Missouri (Don't know if they are advertisers ) , also 6" when stocked, now a full 20". The Saugeye measured 18" . We'll be stocking Snipes SAE Fry next week . Same young Man got into our BNCP last week , I'll try to get pictures soon of the Crappie posted. Thank You to everyone on PBF for helping me begin to understand ponds . God Bless to each and every one !

If I'm reading this correctly the Saugeye are growing at a much faster rate than the WAE.
Do you have any measurement/weight data on them?

The hybrid vigor of SAE creates tremendous growth in a short period of time. The first year they will generally achieve about 2-3" more growth than WAE. End of 2nd growing season they are 3-6" longer than WAE. The Saugeye is much more aggressive and will hunt in shallow, turbid conditions when Walleye have found more comfort in deeper, cooler haunts. There is currently only speculative data of RW, as no chart exists for this at this time for public use although there wasa chart published but it was determined to be skewed as fish grew in size, so the alpha and beta have not been revisited that I am aware of. If you use a walleye chart, RW always shows higher than truthful for the hybrid, for example, if you take an 18" walleye at 100% RW, using the same chart for an 18" saugeye, it will assume about 115-120% RW if both fish are eating as they should.
Here is a comparison chart of WAE and SAE where SAE are 20% heavier at length. The alpha and beta are solved first from two WAE length-weights that came off a chart. Not sure how current it is. If the original WAE chart is too old I could adjust. I do not remember the original source. Snipe, also if you have a set of samples for SAE, I could solve using that set specifically for SAE.
Probably the best way to compare WAE to SAE is AGE-WGT. IIRC one of Snipe's SAE exceeded 5 lbs in its 3rd year from stocking. Nice. Never heard of anyone doing something vaguely similar with WAE.
