I found one of these that was for sale locally for a couple hundred bucks. Water Tender 9.5

Plastic, won't corrode and no rivets to leak. Double hulled, foam between layers. Wide for it's length and light weight. One person can move it around and load it into the back of a PU truck if needed. Supposed to handle a 5 hp motor, I had a 10 hp on it to see if it was strong enough and it was. I have a 4 hp 4-stroke or a 40 lb thrust electric trolling motor that I use. (or oars).

This summer a buddy is taking his kayak and I will take that to float down the local small river for a couple of miles. I can fit a cooler and other stuff in it that he can't fit in his kayak.
