bstone261 B Joined: Dec 2023 Posts: 44 Likes: 4 Indiana - Boone County	After this winter I have been finding bluegill and redear dead in the pond. It isn't an oxygen issue, but a slim "blob" has been found on each dead fish. Please see the attached pictures. Could someone please identify what this is and what is causing it? Would like to know if there is anything I can do to help prevent it. Thank you Attachments

Due to the lowered immune system from the cold water, they are susceptible to this fungus. But, it should clear up as the water warms up. It says it typically does not kill the fish. But the fish I have seen dead have the fungus over their mouth or gills. So maybe that is the cause. Will have to see what others say. Thxs
