Be careful what fertilizer you use. You don't want much of any "P" in there. I'd really recommend getting a water test to determine nutrient levels and alkalinity levels (if you don't know them already) before putting in fertilizer. If I had to use fertilizer, I'd use this stuff just because it's low in "P" compared to other pond fertilizers. Low P pond fertilizerHow old is the pond?
