We try to stock our 54 acre lake every other spring with 5000 CNBG, 3-5" size. Last 2 stockings we have paid .80 cents each, delivered. Has anyone gotten 2025 pricing on this type of stocking?

Have not checked but if you are not habituating those 3-5 inch CNBG you should. It will greatly increase their survival rate.

Thanks for the information, very interesting...We have not been habituating or isolating from instant predation. Most of the management company's we have bought from like a single drop point with good shoreline depth and easy access...A better strategy on our part would be smart business.

The single drop doesn't matter much, but the habituation does. We have seen 4" Golden Shiners swim all over a 4 acre pond within 1/2 hour of stocking. So, the fish spread out quickly.

Get a blocking net and deploy it. Put new fish behind net for protection for 24 hrs.

Quick update: Purchased 4000 CNBG, 3"-5" size, 75 cents each, delivered...March 20 is the target delivery date, hoping for 50 degree water temp by then...Habituation plan should work.

This brings our CNBG stocking to 20,000 since 2019. Not enough for a 54 acre lake but available $ are always a factor.

Hen dog, good start.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
