Neighborhood pond water temp was 58/59, and the ambients have been lows in the high 30's and highs in the 50s/low 60s.
I've been out of town since last Saturday. My buddy fed them twice but did not stay to observe.
The LMB and bluegill were waiting for me. I threw out individual Optimal Handthrow pellets one at a time and it was a melee among the LMB. Once I threw out around 5-10 at a time, the LMB slowed way down, and the catfish showed up. Eventually, the LMB showed little interest in the Handthrow after polishing of the Optimal Largemouth and Bluegill. If the Handthrow sank, the bluegill would enjoy it, and the occasional LMB would take one.
In this pond, most of the fish seem to lack urgency to finish off the feed. It eventually all gets eaten, but still...
