I've heard of people spending upwards of $200 a month for electric just to try to maintain the pond level.

I'm in a very arid area and experience losing the average 1/2" per day to evaporation. Knowing the calculations for what is required to maintain my 2 Acre pond I'm thinking that's going to be expensive alternative.
