We got 4.4 inches of badly needed rain in the middle of a long drought. Wife and I made the 70 mile drive to jump on 4 wheelers to take a look. Problem is that it was a farmers rain. Slow and soaked in so not the frog strangler with lots of runoff that I badly needed. Both ponds came up almost 2 feet and the spring fed creek started running again. Tossed feed and the fish fed well. Smaller water holes half way filled.

Not whining but need the alter the steps on my rain dance. Well, at 81 yoa, they’re not gonna get much more vigorous.


It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
